📚 Educational Qualification
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a university established by an Act of Parliament or incorporated under an Act of the Central/State Legislature in India, or possess an equivalent qualification. Specific subject requirements apply for the Indian Forest Service (IFS).
Age Limit
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years as on August 1, 2026. Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and other categories as per Government of India norms.
Nationality
For the IAS, IPS, and IFS, a candidate must be a citizen of India. For other services, candidates must be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962.

The number of attempts is limited: General category (6), OBC (9), SC/ST (Unlimited up to age limit).
